*For the sake of hiding from the estate of Igor Stravinsky (because of Cody's totally half-cocked attempt at licensing his totally half-cocked arrangement of the Stravinsky Tango), this is the only place you can buy/stream the full version of our 2015 EP! It's illegal maybe!
2015 mission statement:
This is a collection of music performed by We Used to Cut the Grass. It features our latest composition, "Woodpecker," which was composed by Cody McCorry and recorded on the hottest day in July of 2015 at Camp Evans Military Base; the recording was made using only solar power with the Sun Lab Studio.
What follows is a collage of home recorded sounds, including but not limited to reversed singing hand saws and a bowl of macaroni and cheese, engulfing an arrangement of Igor Stravinsky's 1940 "Tango" that probably feels like it wandered into the wrong party.
We Used to Cut the Grass is
Joe Gullace: trumpet
Ian Gray: trombone
Sam Greenfield: tenor saxophone
Sean Marks: baritone saxophone
AJ Merlino: vibraphone
Josh Nussbaum: guitar
Cody McCorry: bass, hand saw, theremin
Seamus Leonhardt: drums/percussion
Kevin Grossman: drums/percussion

"BWV 244" and "Woodpecker" were recorded and engineered by James McCaffrey and Kevin Grossman with the Sun Lab Studio at Camp Evans Military Base using 100% solar power, mastered by Tom Ruff at Asbury Media.
"Tango" is a FeedLab Production recorded and engineered by Robby Webb at the R.U.B.A. Club in Philadelphia, mastered by Mark Trewella at Full Circle Mastering, composed by Igor Stravinsky, arranged by Cody McCorry, performed by We Used to Cut the Grass and Vanguard Strings (Jambol Leuenberger, violin; Richard Jones, cello).
"The Bad Tape," made up of randomly chosen material ranging from 2010-2015, was for the most part poorly recorded and glued together by Cody McCorry, with some material recorded by Ryan Thompson at the Belmar School of the Musical Arts.
With the exception of "BWV 244" and "Tango," all music on this disc was composed and arranged by Cody McCorry. Thanks to all of the other musicians who ended up unwillingly incorporated forwards or backwards into the "Bad Tape" collages, including Ike Willis, Jon Francis, Matthew C. Brown, Theresa Kemp, Rob Habermann and Matt Trice.
Now let's all go to the lobby, and buy ourselves some snacks!

TFO is an eclectic and effervescent collection of amazing electronic tracks, with clever lyrics, nostalgic sound fonts, and a healthy dose of creative silliness. Each track strikes a great balance of melodic earworms and brilliant rhythmic complexity, while never falling into the trap of feeling overdone. This album is so delightful that my pet dogs and I like to listen to it over and over again. It's a super fresh pick of 2020 for me. journey-point
